The Warren County ESC is excited to have Jason Boone bring his structured teaching and behavior management skills to the Learning Center team. Jason started his educational career at the Warren County ESC in 2016 as a paraprofessional at the social communications program. Jason saw the impact that he was having on students and made the decision to purse his Intervention Specialist license. Jason was able to use his educational background and experience at the social communication program to develop a structured teaching model that worked well for building relationships and trust with his students. Jason brings to the Learning Center program his passion for education, structured teaching, and organizational leadership.

Wiley Collett began working for the Warren County ESC In 2017 as a kindergarten to 2nd grade classroom Intervention Specialist. Wiley valued meeting students social emotional and behavioral needs in order to transition students back to their home district with a plan in place. In 2019 Wiley’s passion for SEL, mental health, behavior management and administrative leadership moved him into an administrative role at the Learning Center elementary and junior high building. Wiley continues to supervise the Laura Farrell campus with a strong emphasis on meeting students’ mental health and social emotional learning needs so they can transition successfully in both school and life.

The program collaborates with school districts to meet the needs of students that present with intensive mental health needs that require specialized and focused intervention and supports. The Learning Center Campuses are staffed with professionals that deliver quality services to our students and families which emphasizes mental and psychiatric health, speech and language pathology, emotional regulation, behavior coaching, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing and mindfulness. Students at the Learning Center receive both individual and group-based therapy from licensed mental health therapists.

The focus for our students is to teach them the life and social skills needed to be happy and contributing members of society. Our goals is to help students build these skills and then focus on transitioning back to their home school setting.
