Social Communication Program

Educating students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other low incidence disorders to promote independence, community involvement, and improve quality of life across their lifespan.

The Social Communication Program provides services for children with autism with the most intense needs. A classroom teacher and up to three educational assistants provide sufficient amounts of adult attention in one-to-one or small group instructional settings to meet individualized goals. Speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy are provided according to Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs).

Molly has been working in the field of special education for over 16 years. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she worked briefly within the field of social work before pursuing a master’s in special education from Xavier University. Molly has worked with Warren County Educational Service Center for the past 18 years as she began as the first intervention specialist for the Social Communication Classroom program. She then assisted in developing the collaborative behavior coaching program for several year before becoming the Supervisor for the Social Communication program and Project Warren County. Molly and her husband live in the Cincinnati area.


Katie Strubbe

Katie first joined the ESC in 2011 and has most recently been serving as the Social Communication Specialist and the Collaborative Coach Supervisor at the ESC. Prior to these roles, Katie was an Intervention Specialist in the Social Communication Program and has been a Behavior Coach (BCBA) where she consulted with both partnering school districts and WCESC programs helping to increase the Collaborative Coaching Department program to a staff of fourteen and growing, which also includes Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). As the program specialist in the SCC Dept, Katie oversees staff and students in behavior, supporting PBIS, and supporting classroom teams to assist students in their individual successes. In addition to Katie’s continuing roles, she will be taking on the role of Director of Western Row Campus.

Katie holds her undergraduate degree from Northern Kentucky University and her master’s in applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. Katie resides in Loveland with her husband and has three children, Pierce (5), twins Sawyer and Easton (3).


Rachelle Yakumithis

Rachelle is beginning her second year as Assistant Supervisor for the Social Communication Classrooms Program. As a 25-year veteran in the field of education, she has had the honor of working with and learning from some of the best educators and students in the State of Ohio. Rachelle’s undergraduate degree is from the University of Toledo and her master’s degree from The University of Pittsburgh. She also completed all the coursework for Educational Leadership at The University of Dayton. Rachelle WCESC in 2018 as an Intervention Specialist within the SCC program. In 2020, she transitioned to Lead Teacher and in 2021, to Assistant Supervisor of the Social Communication Program. Prior to joining the WCESC, I spent 12 years teaching students with multiple disabilities. She resides in Springboro with my husband and daughter.
