Substance Abuse Services and Programming

Kevin Stevens-Supervisor  Kevin.Stevens@warrencountyesc.com

Over the past several years, there has been a drastic increase in overall drug use among the students of Warren County, specifically those that are affected by mental health disorders. To support the need for increased prevention, education, and intervention around substance abuse, WCESC has committed resources to establishing the position of Supervisor of Substance Abuse Services and Programming. The Supervisor of Substance Abuse Services and Programming works closely with the juvenile court system, WCESC programs and school districts, and other community health entities to provide leadership and program development for evidence-based practices that support direct prevention, education, and intervention for students that are struggling with substance abuse.

It is the mission of the Warren County Educational Service Center’s Substance Abuse Services and Programming Department to prevent the misuse of substances through evidence-based education and best practices, support healthy relationships, increase protective factors, decrease risk factors, connect youth to resources and treatment, and empower them to set and reach their goals.
