The Carlisle Local School District Board of Education is searching for a dynamic educational leader as their new Superintendent, effective August 1, 2024 This vacancy is created by the retirement of the current Carlisle Superintendent Dr. David Vail.

The Carlisle Local School District is located in Warren County, with a small section in Montgomery County, and is well known for high student achievement, efficient operations, and innovative programs. Carlisle is a small town that has a diverse commercial and industrial base, and a strong family-oriented community. The school district enjoys the support of the community and benefits from controlled growth of new residences. Carlisle is conveniently located between Dayton and Cincinnati, affording residents easy access to the educational, cultural, and recreational facilities afforded by these metropolitan areas.

The District consists of one newly constructed elementary school, grades PK-6, which opened in 2020, one junior high/high school, grades 7-12, and a 5-star Step Up to Quality Preschool. The building features a brand new auditorium, a centralized kitchen, two competitive gymnasiums, and state of the art classrooms for student success.

The District has a population of approximately 1524 students and employs just over 200 regular employees. There is a strong tradition of excellence in the District.
