Warren County Educational Service Center and its Governing Board congratulate Cary Furniss, Chief Financial Officer, for receiving the Southwest Regional Distinguished Service Award from the Ohio Association of School Business Officials. The award was presented at the OASBO Annual Conference Luncheon on April 9th.
In addition, Mr. Furniss received the Virginia Ramsey Service Award. This award consists of a series of five regional awards recognizing one individual from each region with one being chosen as the overall winner. Recipients are recognized for significant contributions to the public good. Mr. Furniss is the 2025 recipient.
Mr. Furniss is a recognized leader in educational accounting and financial management. His 35+ years of service afford him the knowledge to offer guidance and support to others in the financial field which he is asked to do on a regular basis. He is instrumental in connecting colleagues in Warren County and keeping them informed of pertinent news. He consistently acts as a conscientious partner in offering quality services while streamlining costs.
