Meet the speakers

Janise Lane
Regional Vice President. Customer Success
Before joining Amplify, Janise served as Executive Director of Teaching and Learning at Baltimore City Schools. She supervised all core content areas. as well as the areas of early learning, differentiated learning, specialized learning, and instructional technology; prior to that, Janise served the district as the director of literacy and as leader in the district’s school support networks. Janise started her teaching career in elementary grades, focused primarily on grade 1. Faced with the challenge of supporting struggling readers led her to New Zealand, where she spent two summers studying early literacy strategies used in the public education system there. Sharing the knowledge and experience she gained in New Zealand with her colleagues unlocked a new love for professional learning. She spent time teaching alternative certification literacy courses at the Urban Teacher Education Center at University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Luci Keesee
Product Specialist, Literacy
Luci Keesee is passionate about helping students become proficient readers by empowering teachers. Her 16 years of teaching experience spans 4 states, and various grade levels from Pre-k to 6th grades. Luci left the school system to broaden her reach as a Literacy Product Specialist for Amplify. Her love of literacy and spreading awareness of the Science of Reading is why she enjoys her role so much. Luci enjoys living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her family.
